Poppers are a special topic for me… I should’ve made this post way earlier but I finally feel like I’m ready to talk about this.
Yes, it is time to publicly admit that once in my life, I was an addict. I am not proud of it, actually the opposite. I dislike the person I was 10 years ago a lot. I’ve done wrong things, bad things, treated friends and family poorly, was aggressive, sexually offensive and a fucking asshole. Poppers changed me. And they change you.
Okay that was a harsh intro. Just like my life was. Harsh.
Personal Situation
I am so happy that I am completely sober for 2 years now. No alcohol, no nicotine, no pharmaceuticals, no weed, no CBD, nothing.
I was able to improve my fatigue and tiredness using Luteolin. It’s a natural antioxidant and is also recommended for Long COVID. Since I’m taking it, my Poppers cravings also improved a lot.
Since I stopped using Poppers in 2016, I’ve been craving them so badly every since. Every person who knows me closely knows me for saying “get ur poppers redy!” a lot (from all the hypno videos).
In Berlin, I’ve been staying away from people who do poppers. I left the room and told them I have a bad history with Poppers. People understand.
Okay, okay, Daisy. You just had too much of that fucked up horny juice, maybe? I definitely had too much, yes.
I was using them as a torture technique. Holy crap that stuff made me insane. I legitimately abused myself. Like, f.e. for an orgasm I had to sniff 50 times as a punishment. For… going deeper.
Yes. They even made me schizo. Or I developed multiple personalities because of them. I definitely have a top & bottom inside of me. And the top loves torturing the bottom.
How Poppers ruined my life
Poppers ruined me. From all drugs I’ve ever tried, Poppers were by far the worst. They gave me headaches and fucked my brain, so much that I was imagining teacher cocks in high school during class. I never had that before I tried poppers but that seriously made studying much harder.
But that was only the beginning. Shortly later I had a loud tinnitus humming on my left ear. I was never sure if Poppers were the reason, until I found the website thedangersofpoppers.com. I realised that this is a common issue – a humming / buzzing tinnitus that never goes away. When I visited my ear doc even he meant „This is very deep, weird. We can’t even simulate such a deep buzz with our headphones“.
I also got eye floaters. If you don’t know what that is, here‘s a pic:

Eye/retinal damage is actually the most common serious side effect of poppers. Some people also get black or yellow spots in their vision, or get double vision. You’ll mostly see it when you look into something very bright, like the sky. And yes, also pentyl and butyl damage the eyes. Propyl is only the fastest of the three.
What else? Muscle twitching, concentration and focusing issues. Poppers are neurotoxic, so they damage the nervous system. Poppers really make you dumb for a few days – and even for longer. 10 years ago, I thought it was hot to be dumb & sexy. Nowadays I think what an idiot I was. For real.
The headaches eventually got chronic even when I didn’t use poppers. They disappeared after about a year of abstinence, and I never had them with self made poppers (only with this online shop rubbish). However, the tinnitus and eye floaters accompany me even today – after more than five years of abstinence.
I tried everything to get rid of all these symptoms, high dosage omega 3, lots of CBD oil, magnesium, Vitamin C, D, B12 and ginkgo (recommended by my ear doc), but none of them really helped. CBD helps a bit with the tinnitus for a few days, omega 3 algae oil reduces muscle twitching and floaters for some time, but whenever I tried poppers again, all the symptoms come back and CBD only helps temporarily with the tinnitus. So when I stop taking the CBD, the buzzing is back… It is actually also possible that the reason for the tinnitus is bruxism. I didn’t grind my teeth before I did poppers. But ever since I did, I also grind my teeth a lot and my teeth got severely damaged cause of that. I have a mouth guard for 10 years but I’m still wearing down my teeth in the night.
There are even many more side effects that poppers can cause. kidney damage and failure for example. To be honest, I’m surprised that I’m still alive. Poppers feel like chemicals that can easily kill you. I mean they do if you drink them. I think they harmed my liver actually. I have such strong eye rings, it’s not normal for people my age.
The shop situation
NEVER buy poppers. There’s no manufacturing date on them, so they’re not fresh anymore and decomposed already when you buy them. Freshly made poppers last for 4 weeks maximum. The degraded ones will cause way more side effects like horrible headaches, a dry throat. coughing or nose burn. I’ve made some fresh and washed poppers myself, which is a shit ton of work and it stinks like hell. But at least the nose doesn’t burn.
Also you never know if there’s pentyl in the bottle. They might write pentyl on the label, but it could as well be propyl. The floaters and black eye spots, I had them especially from online poppers, so that was likely propyl even though it stated pentyl.
Safer use
I know there are always people who will do it nonetheless and who am I to judge. I also do extreme kinks, still. So here’s a small safer use tip:
Generally if the poppers smells sweet: it’s propyl – Very bad!
If it smells like old socks it’s pentyl.
Butyl has a very pungent chemical smell. Personally it used to be my favourite.

Oh and never believe the brand crap. They put whatever logo they want on the bottle – it’s a gamble which batch and chemical you’ll get. There are only three different poppers you can buy: iso-amyl (= iso-pentyl, C5), iso-butyl (C4) and iso-propyl (C3).
If you make them yourself, you can also make 1-Butyl and 1-Amyl, which don’t hit as hard, because they won’t make a rush (but butt relaxation!), but they’re super rare. Most people also love the high, the rush, which you only get from the iso-nitrites.
Poppers-free anal stretching
Yes, you don’t need poppers at all. If anything, poppers made my anal stretching slower. They made me so dumb so I didn’t even know how to stretch safe and efficiently.
Yes, you should stop playing when you bleed. I didn’t when I sniffed poppers. And that was reckless, I skipped training and used oversized toys too fast. So I ended up bleeding and that requires more time to heal.
Poppers have the issue of losing the connection to your body, to your pain receptors, so you don’t know when to slow down.
So, how to actually train your ass?
Do it slow, at your pace. Keep Plugs inside until you can’t hold them any longer. Do a break, repeat. You don’t need fucking drugs for anal training!
